Handmade mahogany tall boy cabinet with hand wrought iron locks and ornamental iron support. Elias used a simple Chinese design for the door and side moldings as he had intended to decorate each door with a hand painted dragon. The multiple compartments served to store his art supplies and important papers. Most of his brushes are still housed in a special drawer with a slatted bottom for air circulation. This is the only piece that was varnished. The top is gravity held onto the base. 69.25" height x 35.5" wide x 18.75' deep
